In preparation for the upcoming summer season, the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has launched a special city-wide cleanliness drive aimed at improving sanitation and preventing the spread of seasonal diseases.
According to officials, teams have been deployed across major areas including Model Town, Civil Lines, Focal Point, and Dugri to ensure proper waste collection and drainage cleaning.
Focus on Drainage and Garbage Removal
Authorities stated that special attention is being given to clogged drains and garbage-prone areas. The drive will continue for the next 15 days and will involve daily inspections by senior officers.
Municipal Commissioner said that residents are requested to cooperate and avoid dumping waste in open spaces.
Public Participation Encouraged
Citizens have also been encouraged to report sanitation issues through the official complaint helpline. The corporation aims to reduce waterlogging and mosquito breeding before peak summer months.
Officials confirmed that strict action will be taken against those violating cleanliness norms.
